Abstract:
(EN) A water-dispersible injection-moldable composition includes partially-hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH), polyethylene glycol (PEG), plasticizer, and a hydrophobic polymeric component, wherein the composition has a melt flow index of 5-180. The hydrophobic polymeric component can be a colorant within an ethylene matrix or polyethylene. The composition is flushable according to Guidance Document for Assessing the Flushability of Nonwoven Consumer Products (INDA and EDANA, 2006); Test FG 522.2 Tier 2 - Slosh Box Disintegration Test. The PVOH has a hydrolysis of 87% to 89%.
(FR) L'invention concerne une composition pouvant être moulée par injection dispersible dans l'eau qui comprend de l'alcool polyvinylique (PVOH) partiellement hydrolysé, du polyéthylène glycol (PEG), un plastifiant et un composant polymère hydrophobe, la composition ayant un indice de fluidité à l'état fondu compris entre 5 et 180. Le composant polymère hydrophobe peut être un colorant dans une matrice d'éthylène ou un polyéthylène. La composition est jetable dans les toilettes selon le document d'orientation pour l'évaluation la capacité de désintégration dans les toilettes de produits de consommation non tissés (INDA et EDANA, 2006) ; test FG 522.2 niveau 2 - Test de désintégration en boîte de ballottement. Le PVOH présente une hydrolyse de 87 % à 89 %.
