Abstract:
The present invention relates to an autonomous driving control apparatus and method, the autonomous driving control apparatus comprising: an image capturing unit for capturing an image of a driving road on which a subject vehicle is driving; and a control unit for, when a road without lane markings is detected in front of the subject vehicle from the image of the driving road captured by the image capturing unit, generating, on the road without lane markings, as many virtual lanes as the number of lanes determined on the basis of the width of the road without lane markings, and controlling autonomous driving of the subject vehicle such that the subject vehicle drives along the generated virtual lanes, wherein, when an object in front of the subject vehicle is detected from the image of the driving road, the control unit controls the autonomous driving of the subject vehicle such that the subject vehicle drives on the road without lane markings while avoiding the front object.
