Abstract:
(EN) Fine white particles giving a white ink which gives prints in which the printed images combine high hiding properties with folding resistance; and fine white particles giving an ink which has excellent fixability to non-liquid-absorbing recording media such as resin films, is inhibited from suffering an increase in viscosity, and has removability on a high level. The present invention relates to: [1] fine white particles which comprise titanium oxide enclosed with a polymer and which, when examined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) at a photoelectron take-off angle of 45°, have a titanium atom content in the particle surface of 7 atm.% or less; [2] a water-based ink which contains the fine white particles and which, when examined by XPS at a photoelectron take-off angle of 45°, has a titanium atom content in the surface of the fine white particles of 5 atm.% or less; and [3] a method for producing a dispersion of fine white particles which, when examined by XPS at a photoelectron take-off angle of 45°, has a titanium atom content in the particle surface of 7 atm.% or less, the method comprising step 1 in which titanium oxide is mixed with a polymeric dispersant to obtain a titanium oxide dispersion and step 2 in which a polymerizable monomer is added to the obtained titanium oxide dispersion and polymerized to obtain the dispersion of fine white particles.
(FR) L’invention concerne des microparticules blanches qui permettent d’obtenir une encre blanche conciliant de grandes propriétés de dissimulation et une résistance au pliage sur un objet enregistré. En outre, les microparticules blanches de l’invention permettent d’obtenir une encre qui présente d’excellentes propriétés de fixation sur un support d’enregistrement n’absorbant pas les liquides, tel qu’un film de résine, ou similaire, inhibe une augmentation de viscosité d’encre, et simultanément concilie des propriétés de désencrage à un haut niveau. Plus précisément, l’invention concerne : [1] des microparticules blanches telles qu’un oxyde de titane est enveloppé dans un polymère, et qui présentent un rapport atomique de titane à la surface des particules inférieur ou égal à 7% atomiques, dans le cas d’une mesure selon un angle d’extraction de photoélectrons de 45° par un procédé de spectroscopie des photoélectrons X (XPS) de ces microparticules blanches ; [2] une encre aqueuse qui comprend lesdites microparticules blanches, et qui présente un rapport atomique de titane à la surface de ces microparticules blanches inférieur ou égal à 5% atomiques, dans le cas d’une mesure selon un angle d’extraction de photoélectrons de 45° par un procédé XPS ; et [3] un procédé de fabrication de dispersion de microparticules blanches qui présente une étape (1) au cours de laquelle l’oxyde de titane et un agent de dispersion de polymère sont mélangés, et une dispersion d’oxyde de titane est obtenue, et une étape (2) au cours de laquelle un monomère polymérisable est ajouté à la dispersion de polymère obtenue, et polymérisé, permettant ainsi d’obtenir une dispersion de microparticules blanches, laquelle dispersion de microparticules blanches présente un rapport atomique de titane à la surface de ces particules inférieur ou égal à 7% atomiques, dans le cas d’une mesure selon un angle d’extraction de photoélectrons de 45° par un procédé XPS.
(JA) 記録物における高隠ぺい性と耐折り曲げ性を両立する白色インクが得られる白色微粒子、さらに、樹脂フィルム等の非吸液性記録媒体に対しても定着性に優れ、インク粘度の増加が抑制され、同時に脱墨性を高レベルで両立するインクが得られる白色微粒子に関する。本発明は、[1]酸化チタンをポリマーで内包した白色微粒子であって、該白色微粒子のX線光電子分光分析法(XPS)による光電子取り出し角度45°で測定した際の粒子表面のチタン原子分率が7原子%以下である、白色微粒子、[2]上記白色微粒子を含有し、XPSによる光電子取り出し角度45°で測定した際の該白色微粒子表面のチタン原子分率が5原子%以下である水系インク、並びに[3]酸化チタンとポリマー分散剤を混合して酸化チタン分散体を得る工程1、及び得られた酸化チタン分散体に重合性モノマーを添加して重合し、白色微粒子分散体を得る工程2を有する、XPSによる光電子取り出し角度45°で測定した際の粒子表面のチタン原子分率が7原子%以下である白色微粒子分散体の製造方法である。
