Abstract:
(EN) Provided are: a method for predicting the efficacy of an anti-VEGF drug treatment for exudative age-related macular degeneration, the method comprising (1) measuring the concentration of at least one marker protein, selected from the group consisting of TGF-β, BMP-9, angiopoietin-1, and angiopoietin-2, in blood, plasma, or serum collected from a patient with exudative age-related macular degeneration, and (2) correlating the concentration measured in (1) with the efficacy of the anti-VEGF drug treatment for exudative age-related macular degeneration; and a diagnostic agent for the method.
(FR) L'invention concerne : un procédé permettant de prédire l'efficacité d'un traitement de médicament anti-VEGF pour une dégénérescence maculaire exsudative liée à l'âge, le procédé comprenant (1) la mesure de la concentration d'au moins une protéine marqueur, choisie dans le groupe constitué par TGF-β, BMP-9, angiopoïétine-1 et angiopoïétine-2, dans le sang, le plasma ou le sérum prélevé chez un patient atteint d'une dégénérescence maculaire exsudative liée à l'âge, et (2) la corrélation de la concentration mesurée en (1) avec l'efficacité du traitement de médicament anti-VEGF pour une dégénérescence maculaire exsudative liée à l'âge ; et un agent de diagnostic du procédé.
