Abstract:
Provided is an optical laminate provided with a substrate layer and an optically anisotropic layer that includes at least one liquid crystal curing layer, wherein: the light transmittance of the substrate layer at a wavelength of 390 nm is 1% or lower; and the in-plane retardation Re0(450) of the optical laminate at a wavelength of 450 nm before exposure to a xenon lamp, the in-plane retardation Re0(550) of the optical laminate at a wavelength of 550 nm before exposure to a xenon lamp, the in-plane retardation Re300(450) of the optical laminate at a wavelength of 450 nm after exposure to a xenon lamp for 300 hours, and the in-plane retardation Re300(550) of the optical laminate at a wavelength of 550 nm after exposure to a xenon lamp for 300 hours satisfy formulas (1) and (2). Formula (1): 0.95 ≤ Re300(450)/Re0(450) ≤ 1.05. Formula (2): 0.95 ≤ Re300(550)/Re0(550) ≤ 1.05.
