Abstract:
Provided are: an imaging device which is configured to be able to make a determination as to whether appropriate flicker cancelation is to be performed in accordance with imaging conditions; and a flicker determination method. A plurality of detection regions are arranged in an imaging region of an imaging element along a scanning direction of an electronic shutter function, and a flicker component is detected on the basis of a difference in luminance with regard to the same detection region of a plurality of imaging outputs obtained from different frames through integration with respect to an identical integration time period, and the presence of flicker is determined by changing a determination value (Th1 or Th2) that is for determining the presence of flicker in accordance with an imaging mode, and then by comparing the flicker component with the determination value (Th1 or Th2).
