Abstract:
This device for controlling a compression ignition engine is provided with a speed acquisition unit (102) that detects or estimates an engine speed reached by combustion of an nth cycle, and an injection amount setting unit (105) that sets the fuel injection amount for an (n+1)th cycle of an injector (6) during a starting period following the start of cranking. When the engine speed reached by combustion of the nth cycle is within a resonant range (Br), the injection amount setting unit (105) sets the fuel injection amount of the (n+1)th cycle so as to be greater than when the engine speed is equal to or greater than an upper limit value (R2) of the resonant range (Br).
