Abstract:
(EN) Photobioreactor devices and units for the production of biomass and remediation of environmental contamination are provided. The bioreactor devices comprise a membrane photobioreactor (PBR), the PBR comprising a liquid medium, at least one photosynthetic microorganism, and at least one outer membrane layer,wherein the membrane layer is comprised of a material that is permeable to gas transfer across the membrane layer; and further comprise a chamber defining a gaseous atmosphere enclosed within, wherein the PBR is located inside the chamber. The devices also comprise a control system which controls the composition of the atmosphere within the chamber. Gas transfer occurs across the membrane layer of the PBR, between the PBR and the atmosphere comprised within the chamber. Systems comprising the devices are provided as well as methods of using the devices for the production of biomass, remediation of wastewater and removal of atmospheric pollutants.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des dispositifs de type photobioréacteur et des unités associées pour la production de biomasse et la remédiation suite à une contamination environnementale. Les dispositifs de type bioréacteur comprennent un photobioréacteur à membrane (PBR), le PBR comprenant un milieu liquide, au moins un micro-organisme photosynthétique, et au moins une couche de membrane externe, la couche de membrane étant constituée d'un matériau qui est perméable au transfert de gaz à travers la couche de membrane ; et comprennent en outre une chambre à l'intérieur de laquelle une atmosphère gazeuse est définie, le PBR étant situé à l'intérieur de la chambre. Les dispositifs comprennent également un système de commande qui commande la composition de l'atmosphère à l'intérieur de la chambre. Un transfert de gaz se produit à travers la couche de membrane du PBR, entre le PBR et l'atmosphère comprise dans la chambre. L’invention concerne également des systèmes comprenant les dispositifs ainsi que des procédés d'utilisation des dispositifs pour la production de biomasse, la remédiation d'eaux usées et l'élimination de polluants atmosphériques.
