Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for detecting approach and/or contact of the hand (M) of a user close to a door handle (P) of a motor vehicle (V), said handle comprising: · an electrode (40) having a capacitance (Ce), and · a measurement device (60) for measuring the variation of said capacitance, · a low-frequency antenna (A) situated in the vicinity of the electrode, the emissions of the low-frequency antenna causing disturbances in the operation of the device for measuring the variation of the capacitance, the invention proposing that a new adaptive threshold (Nth'∆tk) of detection of approach is calculated, as a function of an average (S∆t(k-1)) of the preceding measurement variations (Ni) of said capacitance, calculated over a predetermined time interval (∆t(k-1)), the measurement variations (Ni) being weighted by a factor (W(Ni)) depending on a deviation between each measurement variation and the average of the variations (S∆t(k-2)) previously calculated over a predetermined preceding time interval (∆t(k-2)), the detection of approach being confirmed, if the variation in the measurement is greater than the new adaptive threshold.
