Abstract:
(EN) Provided herein is a microphysiological system that may be used in various cell culture applications and biological system studies, that facilitates co-culture, monitoring, and study of functional interactions among different types of cellular and biological materials under various environmental conditions. The system is configured for fast assembly and disassembly, thereby minimizing damage or contamination of the biological materials and environmental conditions inside the system. The system comprises a base, a lid, and a plurality of clamps that are connected to the base and the lid. The base has a recess surface for receiving cell culture support layers. The lid has a stepped surface configured to exert a contact force to a top layer of one or more cell culture support layers during use. The clamp involves an engagement mechanism that generates a contact force allowing for sealing of the cell culture support layers in a manner that minimizes leakage of fluids.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un système microphysiologique qui peut être utilisé dans diverses applications de culture cellulaire et études de système biologique, qui facilite la coculture, la surveillance et l'étude d'interactions fonctionnelles parmi différents types de matières cellulaires et biologiques dans diverses conditions environnementales. Le système est configuré pour un assemblage et un désassemblage rapides, ce qui permet de minimiser les dommages ou la contamination des matières biologiques et des conditions environnementales à l'intérieur du système. Le système comprend une base, un couvercle et une pluralité de pinces qui sont reliées à la base et au couvercle. La base présente une surface en creux pour recevoir des couches de support de culture cellulaire. Le couvercle présente une surface étagée conçue pour exercer une force de contact sur une couche supérieure d'une ou plusieurs couches de support de culture cellulaire pendant l'utilisation. La pince comprend un mécanisme de mise en prise qui génère une force de contact permettant l'étanchéité des couches de support de culture cellulaire d'une manière qui minimise la fuite de fluides.
