Abstract:
(EN) A stent includes a hollow wire formed into a stent pattern. The hollow wire includes an outer member, a lumen extending longitudinally within the hollow wire, at least one opening extending from an outer surface of the outer member to the lumen, and a surface area component within the hollow wire. The surface area component increases the amount of surface area available for tissue in-growth within the hollow wire. More than one surface area component may be utilized. Each surface area component may be disposed within the lumen or the at least one opening of the hollow wire. A pharmacologically or biologically active agent may be disposed within the lumen.
(FR) L'invention concerne un stent comprenant un fil creux formé dans un motif de stent. Le fil creux comprend un élément externe, une lumière s'étendant longitudinalement à l'intérieur du fil creux, au moins une ouverture s'étendant d'une surface extérieure de l'élément externe à la lumière, et un composant de superficie à l'intérieur du fil creux. Le composant de superficie augmente la quantité de superficie disponible pour la croissance tissulaire à l'intérieur de la lumière. Plus d'un composant de superficie peut être utilisé. Chaque composant de superficie peut être disposé à l'intérieur de la lumière ou à l'intérieur de l’ouverture ou les ouvertures du fil creux. Un agent pharmacologiquement ou biologiquement actif peut être disposé à l'intérieur de la lumière.
