The purpose of the present invention is to provide a display device with a touch sensor capable of precisely detecting a touch position while further reducing current consumption compared to existing display devices. A display controller controls the timing for changing the waveforms of gate clock signals (GCK1, GCK2) so that the display is driven in relatively short time after the start of odd-numbered horizontal scanning periods (Ho), and so that the display is driven in relatively long time after the start of even-numbered horizontal scanning periods (Ho). A touch panel controller outputs a pulse for a touch driving signal (STD) to initiate a position detection operation in a touch panel during a stable period after the end of the display driving operation in the odd-numbered horizontal scanning periods (Ho).
