Title: METHOD OF MANUFACTURING CTOD TEST PIECE, AND PLASTIC STRAIN ADJUSTING JIG
Abstract:
After obtaining a cuboid member in which a first base material, a welded portion and a second base material are disposed in such a way as to be aligned in a longitudinal direction, from a joint steel material, part of the welded portion is cut to provide a slit-shaped notched portion. A first electrically conductive member is disposed on a surface of the member including an edge portion on one side, in the longitudinal direction, of the notched portion, a second electrically conductive member is disposed on the surface of the member including an edge portion on the other side, in the longitudinal direction, of the notched portion, and said electrically conductive members are fixed to the member. A gap between the first electrically conductive member and the second electrically conductive member in the longitudinal direction is set to a predetermined interval. The first electrically conductive member and the second electrically conductive member are each electrically connected to an external power supply, and a bending load is imparted to the member in a direction that closes the notched portion. The bending load is released at a point in time at which contact between the first electrically conductive member and the second electrically conductive member is confirmed electrically, after which a fatigue pre-crack is formed at the tip end of the notched portion, thereby yielding a crack test opening displacement (CTOD) test piece.
