Provided is a gas sensor with which a deterioration in gas detection accuracy is suppressed by means of a configuration in which a stacked member is stacked via an adhesive layer on a ceramic wiring board which secures a mixed potential type sensor unit. A gas sensor 100 is provided with: a mixed potential type sensor unit 222; a ceramic wiring board 30 which secures the mixed potential type sensor unit and on one surface 30f of which are provided a pair of first lead portions 30L1 connected to a pair of electrodes of the mixed potential type sensor unit; a frame shaped first adhesive layer 66 which encloses the periphery of the mixed potential type sensor unit; and a stacked member 40 which is stacked onto said one surface with the first adhesive layer interposed therebetween. At least one of the first lead portions is electrically connected to a through conductor 30sh which is disposed in a region to the inside of the first adhesive layer, and which penetrates through the ceramic wiring board in said region. A second lead portion 30L2 which is connected to the through conductor and extends to a location to the outside of the first adhesive layer is provided on an opposite surface 30e of the ceramic wiring board.
