Title: METHOD FOR SEPARATING AND RECOVERING POLYETHYLENE AND ALUMINIUM FROM A POLYLAMINATED MATERIAL
Abstract:
A method for separating and recovering low density polyethylene and aluminium from a polylaminated material comprises the following steps: bringing said polylaminated material into contact with a liquid extraction medium comprising a solvent that is able to reversibly pass from a polar and hydrophilic form to an apolar and hydrophobic form, said solvent being initially in said apolar and hydrophobic form and being able to solubilize said low density polyethylene in said liquid extraction medium, so as to separate said low density polyethylene and said aluminium one from the other; modifying the polarity of said solvent to cause said solvent to pass from said apolar and hydrophobic form to said polar and hydrophilic form, so as to separate said low density polyethylene from said liquid extraction medium; modifying again the polarity of said solvent from said polar and hydrophilic form to said apolar and hydrophobic form, in order to use again said solvent to actuate said method.
