Abstract:
(EN) A receiver (UE) has a plurality of antennas and receives a plurality of radio signals from a plurality of transmitters of different cells of a wireless communication network. Each radio signal has a position reference signal (PRS) sequence and is transmitted to the receiver (UE) via a radio channel including a plurality of path components. The receiver (UE) processes the radio signal to estimate for a path component the time of arrival (ToA) of the PRS sequence and to determine for a path component a path strength (PS) value of the PRS sequence. A position of the receiver (UE) is estimated using the ToAs and the PS values.
(FR) L'invention concerne un récepteur (UE) qui comporte une pluralité d'antennes et qui reçoit une pluralité de signaux radio provenant d'une pluralité d'émetteurs de différentes cellules d'un réseau de communication sans fil. Chaque signal radio a une séquence de signal de référence de position (PRS) et est émis vers le récepteur (UE) par l'intermédiaire d'un canal radio comprenant une pluralité de composantes de trajet. Le récepteur (UE) traite le signal radio pour estimer, pour une composante de trajet, le temps d'arrivée (ToA) de la séquence de PRS et pour déterminer, pour une composante de trajet, une valeur d'intensité de trajet (PS) de la séquence de PRS. Une position du récepteur (UE) est estimée à l'aide des valeurs ToA et PS.
