Title: DYNAMIC SDN CONFIGURATION METHOD BASED ON APPLICATION AWARENESS OF VIRTUAL NETWORK
Abstract:
Provided is a dynamic SDN configuration method based on application awareness of a virtual network, the method comprising the following steps: 1) constructing a virtual network in a physical cluster of a data centre; 2) monitoring and recording network traffic of different virtual machines in the virtual network; 3) according to the network traffic, recorded in step 2), of different virtual machines, classifying applications in the virtual network into different types, and setting a network resource allocation policy for each type of application; and 4) according to the network resource allocation policy set in step 3), setting and adjusting the network resource configuration of each virtual machine. A network resource priority and limit, etc. are allocated to each application, thereby ensuring the throughput of a big data application and the quality of service (QoS) of a high-frequency access application. Finally, an OVS open programming interface is used to implement the dynamic adjustment configuration of a network resource, so as to improve the application operating efficiency and the network resource utilization ratio.
