Title: METAL CASING AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a metal casing and manufacturing method thereof, wherein a shell body of the metal casing has a thin metal layer deposited over an electrically connected contact point region, and the abrasion-resistance and the corrosion-resistance of the thin metal layer are better than that of a metal substrate utilized by the shell body, thus enabling the thin metal layer to be exposed externally at a position of an electrically connected contact point during a process of actual use, and the strong corrosion-resistance and the strong abrasion-resistance of the thin metal layer can prevent granules from being generated by repetitive friction between the electrically connected contact point and a metal elastic member on a mainboard of an electronic device, thereby protecting the conductivity of the electrically connected contact point from being affected by oxidation and accumulation of the granules. In contrast to fixing a metal foil on the electrically connected contact point via laser welding, ultrasonic welding or screws and the like in the prior art, the deposited thin metal layer in an embodiment of the present invention is not restricted by the space of an inner cavity of the shell body, and can be implemented on an electrically connected contact point of any area. Thus, the embodiment of the present invention can thoroughly resolve the issue of electrical conductance for an electrically connected contact point on a metal casing.
