(EN) The invention relates to a process for reducing the concentration of a fluorinated alkyne impurity, such as 3,3,3-trifluoropropyne (TFPY), in 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (HFO-1234yf) which comprises contacting such a mixture with a caustic material, such as sodium hydroxide (NaOH), under conditions effective to reduce the concentration of the fluorinated alkyne impurity, including in some practices reducing the concentration by at least about 50%.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de réduction de la concentration d'une impureté d'alcyne fluoré, tel que le 3,3,3-trifluoropropyne (TFPY), contenue dans le 2,3,3,3-tétrafluoropropène (HFO-1234yf)) qui comprend la mise en contact du mélange avec une substance caustique, telle que l'hydroxyde de sodium (NaOH), dans des conditions efficaces pour réduire la concentration de l'impureté d'alcyne fluoré, comprenant dans certaines applications pratiques la réduction de la concentration d'au moins environ 50 %.
