Abstract:
A vertical take-off and landing aircraft equipped with: an airframe main section; a frame (11) which defines a quadrant center inside the airframe main section in a planar pattern, and supports the airframe main section so as to generate independent lift in the same direction in each of a plurality of quadrants centered around the quadrant center; main propellers (31, 32, 33, 34) provided in each of the plurality of quadrants via a rotating shaft provided in the frame (11); and an auxiliary propeller (35, 36, 37, 38) which is provided in a first quadrant selected from the plurality of quadrants via a rotating shaft provided in the frame (11), and rotates in the same direction as does the main propeller in said quadrant. Furthermore, the direction of rotation of the main propellers in the other quadrants adjacent to the first quadrant is the opposite direction from that in the first quadrant.
