Abstract:
(EN) A polyaxial bone fixation assembly (1) comprising a plate (2) with at least one through-opening (3) and at least one fixation screw (4) for fixing the plate (2) to a bone, the body (6) of the screw (4) being capable of passing through the opening (3) and the head (5) being capable of being held in the opening (3) of the plate (2), by means of the bearing contact of complementary male (7) and female (8) spherical surfaces (7, 8), the female spherical surface (8) provided in the opening (3) of the plate (2) forming a seat inside which the male spherical surface (7) is capable of coming to bear when the screw (4) is inserted into the opening (3). The bore of the opening (3) of the plate (2) comprises, from the bottom surface (22) towards the top surface (21) of the plate (2), an inner flange (9), a cylindrical portion (10) and the female spherical surface (8) forming the seat, and the head (5) of the associated fixing screw (4) comprises, between the male spherical surface (7) and the connection area (11) of same connecting to the body (6) of the screw (4), a threaded portion (12) with a single thread, this threading being interrupted in at least two areas (13) in order to allow, concomitant to the rotational movement of the screw (4) through said opening (3) to a position in which the male (7) and female (8) spherical surfaces are in bearing contact with each other, a machining of the inner flange (9) of the associated opening (3) of the plate (2).
(FR) Ensemble (1) de fixation poly-axiale d'os comprenant une plaque (2) avec au moins un orifice (3) traversant et au moins une vis (4) de fixation de la plaque (2) à un os, le corps (6) de la vis (4) étant apte à traverser l'orifice (3) et la tête (5) étant apte à être retenue dans l'orifice (3) de la plaque (2), par contact d'appui de surfaces (7, 8) sphériques complémentaires mâle(7), et femelle (8), la surface sphérique femelle (8)ménagée dans l'orifice (3) de la plaque (2) formant un siège à l'intérieur duquel la surface (7) sphérique mâle est apte à prendre appui à l'état inséré de la vis (4) dans l'orifice (3). L'alésage de l'orifice (3) de la plaque (2) comprend, depuis la face (22) du dessous en direction de la face (21) du dessus de la plaque(2),une collerette (9) interne, une portion (10) cylindrique et la surface (8) sphérique femelle formant siège et la tête (5) de lavis (4) de fixation associée comprend, entre sa surface (7) sphérique mâle et sa zone (11) de raccordement au corps (6) de la vis (4), une portion (12) filetée à simple fil et, ce filetage étant interrompu en au moins deux zones (13) pour permettre, en parallèle de l'entrainement en rotation de la vis (4) à l'intérieur dudit orifice (3) jusqu'à une position en contact d'appui des surfaces sphériques mâle (7) et femelle (8), un usinage de la collerette (9) interne de l'orifice (3) de la plaque (2) associé.
