Abstract:
(EN) A liquid-repellent surface is formed where the repellency arises solely from the re-entrant surface structure. The liquid-repellent surface is a porous membrane that contains hexagonally packed microcavities, each of which has a narrow opening located on its top. The surface is mechanically robust because the microstructures are interconnected in a continuous manner. The method of preparation involves producing a uniform emulsion containing monodisperse micro-droplets, depositing the emulsion onto a substrate, and solidifying the emulsion-deposit by evaporating the solvent in the continuous phase fluid.
(FR) L'invention concerne une surface répulsive de liquide formée et dont la répulsion provient uniquement de la structure de surface rentrante. La surface répulsive de liquide est une membrane poreuse qui contient des microcavités à garnissage hexagonal, dont chacune présente une ouverture étroite située sur sa partie supérieure. La surface est mécaniquement robuste car les microstructures sont interconnectées de manière continue. Le procédé de préparation consiste à produire une émulsion uniforme contenant des micro-gouttelettes monodispersées, à déposer l'émulsion sur un substrat, et à solidifier le dépôt d'émulsion par évaporation du solvant dans le fluide à phase continue.
