Abstract:
(EN) Laser assisted cataract surgery methods and devices utilize one or more treatment laser beams to create a shaped opening in the anterior lens capsule of the eye when performing a capsulotomy procedure. The visual axis of the eye may be determined, during surgery for example, with a laser beam on which the patient is fixated. The capsulotomy may be centered on the identified visual axis. This enables the use of capsulotomy-centering IOLs centered on or in close proximity to the visual axis. The orientation of a toric IOL may be assessed during or after placement by observing the reflection from the back of the eye of a laser beam on which the patient is fixated.
(FR) L'invention concerne des méthodes et des dispositifs de chirurgie de la cataracte assistée par laser qui font appel à un ou plusieurs faisceaux laser de traitement pour créer une ouverture façonnée dans la capsule antérieure du cristallin lors d'une procédure de capsulotomie. L'axe visuel de l'œil peut être déterminé, au cours d'une intervention chirurgicale par exemple, avec un faisceau laser sur lequel le patient est fixé. La capsulotomie peut être centrée sur l'axe visuel identifié. Ceci permet l'utilisation de lentilles intraoculaires (IOL) de centrage de capsulotomie centrées sur l'axe visuel ou à proximité immédiate de celui-ci. L'orientation d'une lentille intraoculaire (IOL) torique peut être évaluée pendant ou après sa mise en place en observant la réflexion depuis l'arrière de l'œil d'un faisceau laser sur lequel le patient est fixé.
