(EN)Hemostatic compositions including a combination of more than one hemostatic agent, and devices coated or impregnated therewith, have been developed. Nanotechnology yields hemostatic agents with large surface areas thereof, thereby increasing the hemostatic properties of the device to which they are applied. By combining more than one hemostatic agent and utilizing one or more different nanotechnology approaches to enhance the surface areas thereof, the capability of the dressing to stop bleeding is improved via more than one mechanism, and thus provides better hemostasis.
(FR)L'invention concerne des compositions hémostatiques comprenant une combinaison de plus d'un agent hémostatique, et des dispositifs revêtus ou imprégnés de ces dernières. La nanotechnologie permet d'obtenir des agents hémostatiques sur de larges zones de surface, ce qui permet d'augmenter les propriétés hémostatiques du dispositif auquel ils sont appliqués. En combinant plus d'un agent hémostatique et en utilisant une ou plusieurs approches différentes de nanotechnologie afin d'augmenter leurs zones de surface, la capacité du pansement à arrêter le saignement est améliorée par l'intermédiaire de plus d'un mécanisme, ce qui permet de fournir une meilleure hémostase.
