Abstract:
(EN) The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a polarizing element which has high transmittance and high degree of polarization; a polarizing plate which uses this polarizing element; and a liquid crystal display device. The present invention provides a polarizing element which contains: an azo compound represented by formula (1a) or (1b) or a salt thereof; and an azo compound represented by formula (2) or a salt thereof.
(FR) Le but de la présente invention est de fournir : un élément de polarisation qui a une transmittance élevée et un degré élevé de polarisation; une plaque de polarisation qui utilise cet élément de polarisation; et un dispositif d'affichage à cristaux liquides. La présente invention concerne un élément de polarisation qui contient : un composé azoïque représenté par la formule (1a) ou (1b) ou un sel de celui-ci; et un composé azoïque représenté par la formule (2) ou un sel de celui-ci.
