Title: METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MEASURING WIDTH OF GAP IN REINFORCED FIBER LAMINATE
Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a simple method, capable of being applied to a fiber arranging step, for measuring the width of a gap in a surface layer of a reinforced fiber laminate. The solution to the aforementioned problem is a method in which a fiber reinforced substrate of the surface layer and/or a fiber reinforced substrate having a portion thereof exposed due to the presence of a gap is a unidirectional reinforced fiber substrate, and the reinforced fiber laminate is irradiated with light in the direction orthogonal to the orientation direction of continuous fibers present in the unidirectional reinforced fiber substrate of the reinforced substrates, and so as to form an acute angle relative to a plane of the fiber reinforced substrate of the surface layer, reflected light from the irradiated light is received by a sensor, and the width of the gap is calculated.
