Abstract:
Provided is electric power supply technology capable of diagnosing the degree of deterioration of hydrogen occlusion ability without stopping the operation of the system as a whole. An electric power supply system 10 is provided with: a hydrogen-producing unit 15 for producing a first hydrogen gas using electric power input from a power generation apparatus; at least two tanks 24 (24a, 24b, 24c) to which a first transport pipe 21 for transporting the first hydrogen gas connects and inside which a hydrogen-occluding material 25 is held; a fuel cell 16 to which a second hydrogen gas released from the hydrogen-occluding material 25 is transported via a second transport pipe 22 that connects to the multiple tanks 24; a pressure reduction pump 26 for reducing the pressure inside one of the multiple tanks 24 when transport of both the first hydrogen gas and the second hydrogen gas is stopped in said tank 24; a third transport pipe 23 for transporting a third hydrogen gas into the reduced pressure tank 24; and a measurement unit 30 for measuring the transport volume of said third hydrogen gas.
