Abstract:
(EN) A material for use in lining large-diameter pipes is disclosed. A textile material formed to a tubular shape and impregnated with resin may, on curing the resin, repair a damaged pipe in a cure in place pipe (CIPP) rehabilitation process. The present invention provides both a novel structure of tubular material and a novel method of preparing the material for use in a CIPP rehabilitation process, specifically aimed at large-diameter pipes such as oil rig caissons. The tubular material of this invention comprises four sheets of a double-bed warp-knitted fabric (40). A first pair of sheets (52) are arranged to form, respectively,inside and outside surfaces of a first half-tube,with fabric machine direction extending along the length of the half-tube. The second pair of sheets (52a) are similarly arranged to form a second half-tube. The two half-tubes are connected at a pair of longitudinally extending joins (58, 60). The preparation process includes stabilising tensioned sheets with a mesh layer (44), which makes for better handling of the knitted fabric.
(FR) L'invention concerne un matériau destiné à être utilisé dans le revêtement de tuyaux de grand diamètre. Un matériau textile prenant une forme tubulaire et imprégné de résine peut, lors du durcissement de la résine, réparer un tuyau endommagé dans un processus de restauration de tuyau à durcissement in situ (CIPP). La présente invention concerne aussi bien une nouvelle structure de matériau tubulaire qu’un nouveau procédé de préparation du matériau destiné à être utilisé dans un procédé de restauration CIPP, servant plus précisément à des tuyaux de grand diamètre tels que des pontons de plateforme pétrolière. Le matériau tubulaire de la présente invention comprend quatre feuilles d'un tissu tricoté chaîne par double fonture (40). Une première paire de feuilles (52) est agencée en vue de former, respectivement, des surfaces intérieure et extérieure d'un premier demi-tube, la direction de la machine textile s'étendant le long de la longueur du demi-tube. La seconde paire de feuilles (52a) est agencée de manière similaire en vue de former un second demi-tube. Les deux demi-tubes sont reliés au niveau d'une paire de joints s'étendant longitudinalement (58, 60). Le procédé de préparation comporte la stabilisation de feuilles tendues avec une couche de maillage (44), ce qui permet une meilleure manipulation du tissu tricoté.
