Title (EN) RECEIVER AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING A PHASE COHERENCY FOR FREQUENCY HOPPING MULTITONE SIGNALS
(FR) RÉCEPTEUR, ET PROCÉDÉ DE MISE EN COHÉRENCE DE PHASE, POUR DES SIGNAUX MULTITONALITÉ À SAUT DE FRÉQUENCE
Abstract:
(EN) The invention concerns a method and a receiver configured to receive a radio signal carrying information, the radio signal comprising an overall frequency band (f1 to f6) having at least three different sub carriers (f1, f2, f3). The receiver is further configured to receive, during a first time period (Thop1), a first multitone signal (101) carrying a first portion of the radio signal, said first multitone signal comprising a first and a second sub carrier (1101, 1102) which are received simultaneously, and to determine a first phase difference (Φ21 = Φ2- Φ1) between the first and the second sub carrier (1101, 1102). The receiver is further configured to receive, during a second time period (Thop2), a second multitone signal (102) carrying a second portion of the radio signal, said second multitone signal (102) comprising the second and a third sub carrier (1102, 1103) which are received simultaneously, and to determine a second phase difference (Φ32 = Φ3 - Φ2) between the second and the third sub carrier (1102, 1103). According to the invention, the receiver is configured to determine a phase difference between the first and the third sub carrier (1101, 1103) using the first phase difference (Φ21 = Φ2 - Φ1) and the second phase difference (Φ32 = Φ3 - Φ2).
