Abstract:
(EN) This disclosure provides a process based on hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL) treatment for co-processing of high-water-content wastewater sludge and other lignocellulosic biomass for co-production of biogas and bio-crude oil. The mixture of waste activated sludge and lignocellulosic biomass such as birchwood sawdust / cornstalk / MSW was converted under HTL conditions in presence of KOH as the homogeneous catalyst. The operating conditions including reaction temperature, reaction time and solids concentration were optimized based on the response surface methodology for the maximum bio- crude oil production. The highest bio-crude oil yield of around 34 wt% was obtained by co-feeding waste activated sludge with lignocellulosic biomass at an optimum temperature of 310°C, reaction time of 10 min, and solids concentration of 10 wt%. The two by-products from this process (bio-char and water-soluble products) can be used to produce energy as well. Water-soluble products were used to produce biogas through Bio-methane Potential Test (BMP) and were found to produce around 800 mL bio-methane cumulatively in 30 days per 0.816 g of total organic carbon (TOC) or 2.09 g of chemical oxygen demand (COD) of water-soluble products.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé fondé sur un traitement de liquéfaction hydrothermale (HTL) permettant le co-traitement de boues d'eaux usées et d'autres biomasses lignocellulosiques à haute teneur en eau pour la coproduction de biogaz et de bio-huile brute. Le mélange de boues d'eaux usées activées et de biomasse lignocellulosique telle que la sciure de bois de bouleau/la tige de maïs/les MSW a été converti dans des conditions de HTL en présence de KOH en tant que catalyseur homogène. Les conditions de fonctionnement comprenant la température de réaction, le temps de réaction et la concentration en matières solides ont été optimisées sur la base de la méthodologie de surface de réponse pour la production maximale de bio-huile brute. Le rendement en bio-huile brute le plus élevé d'environ 34 % en poids a été obtenu par co-alimentation de boues d'eaux usées activées avec de la biomasse lignocellulosique à une température optimale de 310 °C, un temps de réaction de 10 min, et une concentration en matières solides de 10 % en poids. Les deux sous-produits issus de ce procédé (bio-charbon et produits solubles dans l'eau) peuvent également être utilisés pour produire de l'énergie. Les produits solubles dans l'eau ont été utilisés pour produire du biogaz par Test de potentiel bio-méthane (BMP) et se sont révélé produire environ 800 ml de bio-méthane cumulativement en 30 jours pour 0,816 g de carbone organique total (TOC) ou 2,09 g de demande chimique en oxygène (COD) de produits solubles dans l'eau.
