Abstract:
(EN) A method and system for identifying a rotational orientation of an implanted electrical stimulation lead utilize radiological images of the lead. The lead has an asymmetric marker with a longitudinal band extending around a portion of the circumference of the lead. The method and system includes obtaining radiological images of the lead and using those images to determine a predicted rotational orientation of the lead. The predicted rotational orientation of the lead is then corrected based on at least one parameter of the imaging technique used to generate the image data.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé et un système permettant d'identifier une orientation de rotation d'un fil de stimulation électrique implanté qui ont recours à des images radiologiques du fil. Le fil comprend un marqueur asymétrique comportant une bande longitudinale s'étendant autour d'une partie de la circonférence du fil. Le procédé et le système comprennent l'obtention d'images radiologiques du fil et l'utilisation de ces images pour déterminer une orientation de rotation prédite du fil. L'orientation de rotation prédite du fil est ensuite corrigée sur la base d'au moins un paramètre de la technique d'imagerie utilisée pour générer les données d'image.
