Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to form pleats that are soft, feel good and have good texture and reduce the amount of hot melt adhesive applied in absorbent articles, etc. Regarding stretchable composite sheets in which multiple stretchable elastic members (rubber yarns) have been bonded and fixed between two nonwoven fabric sheets and double layer pleats (folds) are formed in the direction orthogonal to the multiple stretchable elastic members (rubber yarns), the present invention provides: (1) a stretchable composite sheet characterized in that at the contact points between the multiple stretchable elastic members (rubber yarns) and the ridges of the pleats (folds)that are located in directions orthogonal to the ridges of the double layer pleats (folds), both surfaces of the multiple stretchable elastic members (rubber yarns) are bonded and fixed to nonwoven fabric; (2) a stretchable composite sheet production method characterized in that in intermittent application of adhesive on stretchable elastic members (rubber yarns) that are conveyed in an extended state, adhesive is applied on the entire circumferential surface of the conveyed stretchable elastic members (rubber yarns); and a stretchable composite sheet production apparatus that, in order to apply adhesive on stretchable elastic members (rubber yarns) that are passing thereby, is characterized in being provided with a coater application head that is characterized in that expanded sections, the cross-sections of which are larger than the cross-section of the passing stretchable elastic members (rubber yarns) in cross-sectional view of the passing stretchable elastic members (rubber yarns), are formed in the base of slit grooves as adhesive application areas and adhesive is supplied from both sides of said adhesive application areas.
