Abstract:
(EN) The invention relates to a method (20) and system (10) for enhancing location determination of at least one wireless communication device (12) in a wireless network using a computing device. The system (10) includes a plurality of radio beacons (14) arranged at spaced apart, predetermined locations. The method (20) of enhancing location determination includes estimating (22), using network infrastructure devices and/or the computing device, a location of each radio beacon (14), calculating (23), using the computing device, a location correction factor associated with each radio beacon (14) by comparing the estimated location of the radio beacon (14) with its predetermined location, and applying (24), using the computing device, the location correction factor associated with each radio beacon (14) to location data of devices (12) within a predetermined range of the radio beacon (14) in question in order to enhance the accuracy of the location data.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé (20) et un système (10) pour améliorer la détermination d'un emplacement d'au moins un dispositif de communication sans fil (12) dans un réseau sans fil à l'aide d'un dispositif informatique. Le système (10) comprend une pluralité de balises radio (14) agencées à des emplacements prédéfinis espacés. Le procédé (20) d'amélioration de la détermination de l'emplacement consiste à estimer (22), à l'aide de dispositifs d'infrastructure réseau et/ou du dispositif informatique, un emplacement de chaque balise radio (14), à calculer (23), à l'aide du dispositif informatique, un facteur de correction d'emplacement associé à chaque balise radio (14) en comparant l'emplacement estimé de la balise radio (14) avec son emplacement prédéfini, et à appliquer (24), à l'aide du dispositif informatique, le facteur de correction d'emplacement associé à chaque balise radio (14) à des données de localisation de dispositifs (12) dans une plage prédéfinie de la balise radio (14) en question afin d'améliorer la précision des données de localisation.
