Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for removing noble metal from particulate refractory material containing noble metal, comprising the following steps: (1) providing particulate refractory material containing noble metal, (2) bringing the particulate refractory material containing noble metal provided in step (1), which has a temperature in the range of 200 to 650°C and takes the form of a fluidized bed by means of an upwardly directed gas flow, into contact with chlorine and gaseous aluminum chloride and optionally inert gas within the fluidized bed which is at 200 to 650°C, and (3) removing a gas flow which exits the fluidized bed in the upward direction.
