Abstract:
(EN) In an embodiment, a processor includes a first power rail, a first component coupled to the first power rail, and a compensation control unit. The compensation control unit is to: detect a request to change a voltage level of the first power rail by a first voltage change amount; in response to detecting the request, determine that the first voltage change amount exceeds a first threshold level associated with the first component; and in response to determining that the first voltage change amount exceeds the first threshold level, initiate a first compensation action prior to changing the voltage level of the first power rail. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
(FR) Dans un mode de réalisation, un processeur comprend un premier rail d'alimentation, un premier composant couplé au premier rail d'alimentation, et une unité de commande de compensation. L'unité de commande de compensation est destinée à : détecter une demande de changement d'un niveau de tension du premier rail d'alimentation par une première quantité de changement de tension; en réponse à la détection de la demande, déterminer que la première quantité de changement de tension dépasse un premier niveau de seuil associé au premier composant; et en réponse à la détermination que la première quantité de changement de tension dépasse le premier niveau de seuil, initier une première action de compensation avant de modifier le niveau de tension du premier rail d'alimentation. L'invention concerne également d'autres modes de réalisation.
