Title: CARBON-BASED MATERIAL, ELECTRODE PROVIDED WITH SAME AND MICROBIAL FUEL CELL
Abstract:
This carbon-based material (10) contains an expanded graphite sheet (1) that is composed of expanded graphite particles (2). This carbon-based material also contains non-metal atoms or non-metal ions of at least one non-metal element selected from among nitrogen and sulfur, said non-metal atoms or non-metal ions being doped into the surfaces of the expanded graphite particles. This carbon-based material additionally contains metal atoms or metal ions of at least one metal element selected from among the group 8-11 elements of the periodic table, said metal atoms or metal ions being doped into the surfaces of the expanded graphite particles. An electrode according to the present invention is provided with this carbon-based material; and a microbial fuel cell according to the present invention is provided with this electrode.
