Provided is a tire vulcanization mold that has side-molding surfaces that have precisely arranged gaps that discharge air that is between side molds and a green tire. A tire vulcanization mold 10 that comprises a pair of upper and lower side molds 14, 15 that have side-molding surfaces 14a, 15a that mold side wall parts of a tire. The side molds 14, 15 comprise: a side mold main body 21 that comprises, at intervals in a tire circumferential direction, a plurality of recesses 25 that open toward the side-molding surface 15a; a plurality of pieces 23 that fit into the recesses 25; and gaps 29 that are formed between the side mold main body 21 and the pieces 23. The recesses 25 comprise: an outside inner wall surface 25a that demarcates the tire-radial-direction outside; an inside inner wall surface 25b that demarcates the tire-radial-direction inside; a pair of radial-direction inner wall surfaces 25c, 25c that, between the outside inner wall surface 25a and the inside inner wall surface 25b, demarcate one tire-circumferential-direction side and another; and curved surfaces 25d that connect the outside inner wall surface 25a and the radial-direction inner wall surfaces 25c.
