Title: METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR IMPLEMENTING USER PLANE FUNCTION ENHANCEMENT IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for implementing user plane function enhancement in a wireless communication system. The apparatus is provided in a base station, and comprises a first beam management module, and the first beam management module comprises a parameter acquisition unit, a control unit, and a first processing unit. The parameter acquisition unit is configured to acquire a network parameter; the control unit is configured to send a control instruction to the first processing unit according to the acquired network parameter, and/or is configured to send a beam management instruction to the terminal according to the acquired network parameter; and the first processing unit is configured to perform a corresponding beam operation according to the control instruction. The present disclosure realizes the adding of a beam management module to a user plane, so that the function of the user plane can meet a requirement for beam management in future communication systems. The beam management module provided in embodiments of the present disclosure is located in a user plane, but is not limited to a specific location in the user plane, allowing flexibility in deployment.
