Abstract:
(EN) A method of selecting a radiation therapy treatment plan for a patient. The treatment plan is implemented through a radiation delivery system including a gantry capable of rotating around a couch, in which the couch is movable in a linear direction relative to the gantry. The movement of the couch and the gantry creates a helical delivery path having a pitch. The radiation delivery system further includes a radiation module coupled to the gantry and capable of distributing a radiation beam, where the beam has a beam weight corresponding to a radiation fluence. The method includes receiving, by a controller, an objective including at least one from a list including a desired dose, a desired dose distribution, and a dose constraint, optimizing the pitch to obtain an optimized pitch, optimizing, the beam weight to obtain optimized beam weight, determining, based on the optimized pitch and the optimized beam weight at least one from the following list including a treatment plan and a dose, and outputting the at least one of the treatment plan and the dose.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de sélection d'un programme de traitement de radiothérapie pour un patient. Le programme de traitement est mis en œuvre par l'intermédiaire d'un système d’administration de rayons comprenant un portique capable de tourner autour d'un lit, le lit pouvant se déplacer selon une direction linéaire par rapport au portique. Le mouvement du lit et du portique génère une trajectoire d'administration hélicoïdale ayant une certaine obliquité. Le système d'administration de rayons comprend en outre un module d'irradiation couplé au portique et capable d'administrer un faisceau d'irradiation, le faisceau ayant un poids de faisceau correspondant à une fluence de rayonnement. Le procédé consiste à recevoir, par un dispositif de commande, un objectif comprenant au moins un élément d'une liste comprenant une dose souhaitée, une distribution posologique souhaitée et une contrainte posologique, à optimiser l'obliquité pour obtenir une obliquité optimisée, à optimiser le poids du faisceau pour obtenir un poids de faisceau optimisé, à déterminer en fonction de l'obliquité optimisée et du poids de faisceau optimisé au moins l'un des éléments de la liste suivante comprenant un programme et une dose de traitement, et à sortir ledit programme de traitement et ladite dose de traitement.
