Title: CATALYST, METHOD FOR USING SAME, AND INSTALLATION FOR HYDROGEN-FREE DEWAXING OF A HYDROCARBON FEEDSTOCK
Abstract:
The invention relates to materials which contain zeolite and to the use thereof as a catalyst. A catalyst for the hydrogen-free dewaxing of a feedstock, particularly a diesel fuel, is proposed, which is based on aluminosilicate zeolite ZSM-5 that is characterised by an SiO2/Al2O3 molar ratio of 23-80 and a residual sodium ion content of below 0.1%, and is modified by zinc oxide in an amount of 1.0 - 4.0 wt.% (in terms of zinc), wherein the zeolite is modified in three stages: in the first stage it is impregnated with a zinc acetate or nitrate solution, in the second stage the zinc-containing zeolite is calcined at 300-600°C, and in the third stage it is treated with an ammonium fluoride solution. A method is proposed for dewaxing a hydrocarbon feedstock using the claimed catalyst. An installation for hydrogen-free dewaxing of a hydrocarbon feedstock is also proposed, which is charged with the claimed catalyst. The proposed group of inventions makes it possible to enhance catalytic activity and stability and increase the yield of high-quality target product during feedstock dewaxing, with improved process productivity, as well as to simplify the installation, lower its metal consumption and increase safety during operation.
