Abstract:

(EN)A method of performing remote subsea inspection comprises processing mission data from a UUV at an offshore location to produce a low-resolution output and a high-resolution output, automatically and in real time. The high-resolution output is stored at the offshore location while the low-resolution output is transmitted wirelessly across a low-bandwidth communication link, also automatically and in real time, to be reviewed by subject-matter experts at one or more onshore or inshore locations. Selected portions of the high-resolution output can be transmitted across the communication link to the subject-matter experts on demand. Data outputs may be transmitted across the communication link at a resolution adjusted automatically in accordance with the bandwidth measured to be available on that link.
(FR)Selon l'invention, un procédé de réalisation d'une inspection sous-marine à distance consiste à traiter des données de mission provenant d'un UUV à un emplacement en mer pour produire une sortie à basse résolution et une sortie à haute résolution, automatiquement et en temps réel. La sortie à haute résolution est stockée à l'emplacement en mer tandis que la sortie à basse résolution est transmise sans fil par une liaison de communication à bas débit, également automatiquement et en temps réel, pour être examinée par des experts du sujet au niveau d'un ou plusieurs emplacements à terre ou sur la côte. Des parties sélectionnées de la sortie à haute résolution peuvent être transmises par la liaison de communication aux experts du sujet sur demande. Des sorties de données peuvent être transmises par la liaison de communication à une résolution adaptée automatiquement en fonction d'une mesure du débit disponible sur cette liaison.
