(EN)A method and apparatus are provided for protecting a target or vehicle from shaped charge jet weapons which project a narrow jet of high velocity metal. The jet is disrupted by a spinning armour element, typically a disk, rotating at sufficient speed as to cause the jet to be disrupted. Because the jet is disrupted, a secondary layer of armour is able to absorb the jet.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de protection d'une cible ou d'un véhicule contre des armes à jet de charge creuse qui projettent un jet étroit de métal à grande vitesse.
