Title: BISTABLE PIEZOELECTRIC SERVOMOTOR CONTROL MECHANISM AND METHOD
Abstract:
A bistable piezoelectric servomotor control mechanism and method. The mechanism comprises a base (10), four turning units (1, 3, 5, 7) fixed on the base, and rigidity means (2, 4, 6, and 8) located on free ends of the turning units. The four turning units have the same structure, and are sequentially arranged at an interval of 90° in a same plane. The four rigidity means also have the same structure and are all connected to horns. The turning unit comprises a cantilever beam (1-1) and a piezoelectric fiber composite material actuator (1-2) attached to opposite surfaces of the cantilever beam. A first rigidity means comprises a pressure spring clip (2-1) and a bearing or bushing (2-2) mounted inside the pressure spring clip. The cantilever beam passes through the bearing or bushing with a close fit to make the pressure spring clip elastically deform, so that the pressure spring clip forces the cantilever beam by means of the bearing or bushing to make the cantilever lose stability. By means of the turning and the loss of stability of a beam and a piezoelectric drive approach, the mechanism performs control to achieve piezoelectrically-driven wide-range deflection of a servomotor; moreover, the mechanism has a position retaining ability during poweroff, is easy to assemble, and can implement quick responses and precise actuation.
