Abstract:
(EN) A blowout preventer includes a main housing containing a through bore. A first chamber is arranged transverse to the through bore. A second chamber is transverse to the through bore and is diametrically opposed to the first chamber. A first shearing device is located in the first chamber and a second shearing device located in the second chamber. The blowout preventer includes a charge that when activated propels each shearing device along its respective chamber and across the through bore into the opposing chamber, such that the first and second shearing devices are adjacent each other.
(FR) Selon l'invention, un bloc d'obturation de puits comprend un boîtier principal contenant un alésage traversant. Une première chambre est agencée transversalement par rapport à l'alésage traversant. Une deuxième chambre est transversale par rapport à l'alésage traversant et est diamétralement opposée à la première chambre. Un premier dispositif de cisaillement est situé dans la première chambre et un deuxième dispositif de cisaillement situé dans la deuxième chambre. Le bloc d'obturation de puits comprend une charge qui, lorsqu'elle est activée, propulse chaque dispositif de cisaillement le long de sa chambre respective et à travers l'alésage traversant dans la chambre opposée, de sorte que les premier et deuxième dispositifs de cisaillement soient adjacents l'un à l'autre.
