Abstract:
(EN) An electrical device has device electrical contacts (32) that are initially shunted together, to prevent accidental triggering or damage to the device, such as by electrostatic forces. The device is configured to be inserted into a receptacle (16), with parts of the receptacle (16) disengaging the shunt (44) and making electrical connection within the receptacle (16), such as with a shunt (44) cutter (50). The receptacle (16) may also include a pair of receptacle electrical contacts (52) the electrically connect to the device electrical contacts (32). The configuration, where the shunt (44) is only cut as part of the installation process, enables safer handling of initially-shunted devices, and can also facilitate making blind electrical connections. Making blind connection directly with parts of the receptacle (16) also avoids the need to thread wires through the electrical receptacle and make electrical connections in another way.
(FR) L'invention concerne un dispositif électrique comportant des contacts électriques de dispositif (32) qui sont initialement mis en dérivation ensemble afin d'empêcher un déclenchement accidentel ou un endommagement du dispositif, par exemple par des forces électrostatiques. Le dispositif est configuré pour être inséré dans une prise de courant (16), avec des parties de la prise de courant (16) libérant la dérivation (44) et établissant une connexion électrique à l'intérieur de la prise de courant (16), par exemple à l'aide d'un dispositif de coupe (50) de dérivation (44). La prise de courant (16) peut également comprendre une paire de contacts électriques de prise (52) de courant se connectant électriquement aux contacts électriques de dispositif (32).
