Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Einweg-Analytennachweisstreifen (100) für den gleichzeitigen amperometrischen Nachweis von Glucoseund einem Kation von Interesse in einer flüssigen Probe, der einen elektrodentragenden Substratstreifen (124), eine trockene Reagensschicht (116) und eine Flüssigkeitsanziehungsschicht (112) umfasst, wobei die trockene Reagensschicht (116) mindestens eine glucosespezifische Oxidoreduktase umfasst und wobei die eine der beiden Arbeitselektroden (118, 122) so modifiziert ist, dass sie für das Kation von Interesse selektiv ist. Weiterhin betrifft die vorliegende Erfindung die Verwendung des Einweg- Analytennachweisstreifens (100) für den gleichzeitigen amperometrischen Nachweis von Glucoseund einem Kation von Interesse in einer flüssigen Probe wie hierin offenbart, sowie ein Verfahren zum gleichzeitigen amperometrischen Nachweisen von Glucoseund einem Kation von Interesse in einer flüssigen Probe, wobei der Einweg-Streifen (100) wie hierin offenbart mit einer entsprechenden Analytennachweisvorrichtung kombiniert wird.

The invention relates to a disposable analyte detection strip (100) for the simultaneous amperometric detection of glucose and a cation of interest in a liquid sample, said disposable analyte detection strip comprising an electrode-bearing substrate strip (124), a dry reagent layer (116), and a liquid attraction layer (112), wherein the dry reagent layer (116) comprises at least one glucose-specific oxidoreductase and wherein one of the two working electrodes (118, 122) is modified in such a way that said working electrode is selective for the cation of interest. The invention further relates to the use of the disposable analyte detection strip (100) for the simultaneous amperometric detection of glucose and a cation of interest in a liquid sample as disclosed herein and to a method for the simultaneous amperometric detection of glucose and a cation of interest in a liquid sample, wherein the disposable analyte detection strip (100) as disclosed herein is combined with a corresponding analyte detection device.
