Abstract:
Disclosed are a recombinant lentivirus-modified human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell carrying a pigment epithelial-derived factor gene, and a preparation method therefor, wherein the recombinant lentivirus-modified human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell carryinga pigment epithelial-derived factor gene secrets PEDF protein. By using the highly efficient transgenic technology, hUCMSCs cells may have high expression of PEDF protein, which solves the technical problem of persistent expression of PEDF protein in eyes. Moreover, hUCMSCs cells have low immunogenicity; when hUCMSCs cells are injected into the body as a carrier for PEDF protein, no immune response is induced.
