Title: OPTICALLY ISOLATED POWER SWITCH DRIVER CIRCUIT WITH PROTECTION AGAINST HIGH-VOLTAGE COMMON-MODE INTERFERENCE
Abstract:
The invention relates to microelectronics, and more particularly to devices for protecting power switch driver circuits against high-voltage common-mode interference. The aim of the invention is to provide more effective protection of a power switch driver circuit against high-voltage common-mode interference. The technical result is achieved in that an optically isolated power switch driver circuit, comprising a light emitting diode as a transmitting part and a photodiode as a receiving part, which is electrically connected to one input of an operational amplifier on a single chip, and a comparator, is characterized in that it additionally comprises a photodiode on the same chip, said photodiode being coated with a layer of a non-transparent metal and being electrically connected to the other input of the operational amplifier together with a reference voltage source and the aforesaid layer of a non-transparent metal as protection against high-voltage common-mode interference, the output of the operational amplifier is electrically connected to one input of the comparator, and the driver circuit contains a second reference voltage source, which is electrically connected to the other input of the comparator.
