Abstract:
A method for preparing a high-specific surface area hard carbon-based electrode active material through the control of a carbonization process comprises the steps of: charging a high-temperature furnace with polyurethane; supplying oxygen gas into the high-temperature furnace to oxidize the polyurethane in an oxygen atmosphere, thereby generating a polyurethane oxide; supplying nitrogen gas into the high-temperature furnace to heat and carbonize the polyurethane oxide in a nitrogen atmosphere, thereby generating hard carbon; heating the hard carbon in a nitrogen atmosphere, and then supplying steam to activate the hard carbon in a steam atmosphere, thereby generating activated carbon; supplying hydrogen into the high-temperature furnace to reduce the activated carbon in a hydrogen atmosphere, thereby reducing an oxygen functional group of the activated carbon; and cooling the activated carbon in a nitrogen atmosphere.
