Abstract:
Provided is a layered casting mold manufacturing method that is capable of, when performing laminate molding, suppressing or preventing oozing of a sprayed liquid during formation of a two-dimensional pattern in each sand layer, and capable of suppressing or preventing deterioration in dimensional accuracy, and deterioration and deformation of the shape of an obtained layered casting mold. A three-dimensional layered casing mold 36 is manufactured by repeating an operation of: forming a thin sand layer 20 through use of coated sand prepared by coating a refractory aggregate with a water-soluble binder; and then forming a solidified layer or a cured layer of a prescribed two-dimensional pattern 46 by spraying an aqueous medium on the sand layer and heating the sand layer. When manufacturing the three-dimensional layered casing mold 36, a hydrophobic zone 42 and a water-retentive zone 50 each having a prescribed width and forming edges the two-dimensional pattern 46 are formed by spraying a hydrophobic liquid and a water-retentive liquid along a contour line 40 of the two-dimensional pattern 46 before the two-dimensional pattern 46 is formed by spraying the aqueous medium.
